Registration is now open and on 25th February 2025 we’ll be returning to London’s iconic Excel Arena for our 11th In House Recruitment Expo event. We’re proud to continue with our mission to support, inform, enable and upskill In House Recruitment leaders and their teams by bringing them the best and latest research and thinking from a wide range of speakers, practitioners, analysts and leaders. We are also happy to welcome our media partners OnRec, Personnel Today Jobs, and HR Magazine Our event supporter is training, coaching and retention specialists in recruitment, Talent Labs.
This year’s In House Recruitment Expo comes at a time when recruitment teams are under pressure to deliver exceptional results with stretched budgets amidst economic uncertainty. Many sectors are reporting key skill shortages with talent becoming harder to identify. Recruiters must develop innovative strategies to identify and attract candidates with the necessary skills to fill critical roles. The shift to skills-based hiring is both welcome and necessary – allowing for more equitable hiring – although the continuing popularity of remote and hybrid work models brings challenges in the sourcing, evaluation and integration of candidates from diverse geographical locations.
The incorporation of AI into recruitment processes is helping efficiency but needs to be balanced that with a need for the ‘human touch’ in candidate interactions. AI can enhance and supplement the recruitment process very effectively but shouldn’t be seen as a replacement for recruiters themselves. Candidates still need to understand the values and culture of the organisations they are joining, the employer brand, and this is much more effective when communicated by skilled recruiters. Recruitment teams need to adapt their processes to effectively manage all of these complexities.
Luckily, support for the In House recruitment community is at hand! On 25th February we have lined up an exceptional range of speakers, drawn from all corners of the In House Recruitment sector. Emma Mirrington, from The Talent Labs, will be offering research-based insights and guidance on future proofing In House Recruitment whilst constantly anticipating change, and Tara O’Brien, Head of Resourcing at Oxford health NHS Foundation Trust, will give the practitioners view on what successful strategies for 2025 will look like. With talent harder to attract we’ll hear from Raj Gill, who leads the talent acquisition team at BT Group, about targeting and hiring career returners.
Employer brand is increasingly vital for any business looking to attract talent, and we will hear from Charlotte Johns, Global Talent & Communications lead at Elida Beauty, about how they manage brand across different cultures and geographies. One perpetual pain point for candidates – ghosting – is tackled by Tribepad who will share the findings from their study of 2,000 candidates about how and why it happens, the impact on candidate mental wellbeing, effect on the business’ employer brand, and what we should be doing to end it. Patrice Watson, People Director at Williams Stanley & Co, looks at Talent Intelligence and how to make sure you are hiring for the right positions and skillsets.
Whilst the future may be uncertain, we will try to look ahead at what the next 12 months might look like in the In House Recruitment sector with our panel discussion hosted by analyst, author and podcast host Mervyn Dinnen, along with Global Talent Acquisition Leader Natacha Pomorski, experienced TA leader Rachel Dalboth.
We will be adding more speakers, and a broad range of exhibitors all able to help and support your recruitment objectives, in the coming weeks so make sure you register to reserve your place at the Expo and keep checking back on this site for the latest announcements and updates.
AI may be trying to rule the world, but we’ll help you make sure you can put the Humanity into In House Recruitment and Human Resources!
We look forward to seeing you on February 25th!!
